Polo Buns-(cake topping on buns)

For the dough:
4 cups flour
40gm sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp bread improver
1 tbsp instant yeast
190ml water
1 egg
30gm butter

50gm shortening-(vegetable fat)
200gm butter
120gm icing sugar
1 egg
20gm milk powder
240gm flour

1 egg- beaten


How to make Polo Buns-(cake topping on buns)

1.Mix the dough ingredients and  knead to form a soft non sticky dough. leave to rise.
2.Divide dough into smaller balls, roll  and leave to rise while making the 2nd step.
3.For topping:-Cream butter , shortening and icing sugar till light, add egg and then milk and flour.Divide equally to the amount of the dough.
4. Flatten each dough and place the topping dough on top .
5. Leave them rise again and then brush top with beaten egg.
6. Bake in preheated oven at 200 C for 12 to 15 mins
