Verde Enchilada Sauce


  • 14 oz green enchilada sauce
  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 4 or 6 oz green salsa in a can*
  • one diced jalapeno (if you want it spicy include the seeds)
  • juice from half a lemon
*In Texas this is no problem, you'll find it in the salsa aisle, elsewhere you might need to buy an actual jar of green salsa (or add green chilies, cumin, cilantro, garlic, chopped onion, and whatever else you feel should be in a green salsa)

How to make Verde Enchilada Sauce

Mix everything up and, if you like, let it sit overnightish.  I like to put this on enchiladas with pablano, squash, onion, and chicken or shrimp...
