Taro onions fritters

1 taro (300gm)-cut into 1/2 cm strips
1 cup flour
2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2  tsp salt
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 red chilly chopped
1/2 red onion , sliced thinly

2 cups Oil for deep frying

How to make Taro onions fritters

1. Mix all the ingredients till smooth and then add taro.
2. Heat oil to medium, spoon some taro chips with onion slices into oil and fry till golden  .
3. Drain well . Serve hot with chilly sauce.

Taro is also a yam , You can also used sweet potatoes for this recipe.
