Simple Vegetarian Biryani Rice

2 cups basmati rice- clean
 1/2 cup ghee
2 tbsp biryani spice
6 shallots, chopped
3 pips garlic, chopped
1 " ginger, chopped
2  star anise
2 cinnamon stick
3 cardamom
2 pandanus leaves-tied a knot
2 cups evaporated milk
pinch of saffron
salt to taste
enough water

How to make Simple Vegetarian Biryani Rice

1. Heat ghee in a pot. Saute onion, garlic and ginger till aroma.
2. Add spices and pandanus leaves.
3, Then add biryani spice and stir till aroma.
4. Add water and milk . Add rice. Add salt to taste.
5. Bring to boil . When the rice almost dry, add saffron and mixed well. Let it cook.
6. Serve with lentil curry and cucumber with yogurt.
