Roti canai with banana

600 g Plain wheat flour
1 tsp Salt
1 cup Warm water or milk
1/2 cup Ghee or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp sugar

How to make Roti canai with banana

1.Sift the flour and salt together.
2.Knead flour, egg, sugar and ghee with water/milk (a little at a time) good enough to make a moderately soft dough or  enough elasticity.
3.Leave for 6 hours or overnight.
4.Divide dough into 8 equal parts.
5.Shape it into balls.
6.Flatten each ball with your palm and stretch widely to  paper thin pastry.Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon melted ghee.
7.Pull one end of the  dough and twist it into a coil. Pressing one open end onto the top.Leave it rest for a while .
8.Roll it again as thin as possible into a round shape.(this one is for plain canai)
9.Heat a pan with little ghee and fry a min on each side.Crumb up with palm like clapping your hands . serve immediately.
10.(For the banana flavour); start off with number 6 , place, sliced  1 ripe banana and sprinkle with 1 tsp sugar  on widely thin pastry, fold into a parcel. Quickly transfer to a heated pan. Cooked till golden on both side.

To serve

    * Serve plain roti canai with curry dhal or pickled onion.The banana roti canai can also be eaten with condense milk or just plain.
