Assam laksa

ingredients to be blended:
4 smallĀ  red onion
3 pips garlic
1/2" ginger
1/4" galangal
3 red chillies
1/4" turmeric root
1 lemon grass-sliced

1 liter water (5 cups)
2 tbsp tamarind

1 can (450gm) sardine fish, break into pieces.
6 stalks polygonum leaves-(daun Kesum)
2 stalks wild ginger flower-(bunga kantan)-sliced
6 bowls of ready-cooked rice noodle -(thick vermicelli)

For garnish:
cucumber shredded,
pineapple cubes
chillies, onion
mint leaves

How to make Assam laksa

1, Saute blended ingredients till aroma in 4 tbsp oil.
2. Mix water and tamarind to extract juice .Sieve.
3.Add tamarind juice and let boil. Then add sardine, polygonum leaves and wild ginger flowers.
4. Boil for 5 mins . Pour into individual bowl of noodle , garnish with ingredients given.

you can also use fresh sardine which is nicer taste. debone.

    I must have slipped out the seasoning , hahaha, Yes add a little prawn sauce would be nice!!
