Salsa de Guacamole


  • 1/2 lb shucked tomatillos
  • 2 jalapeño peppers (whole, without stem)
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 oz fresh cilantro
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 avocado

How to make Salsa de Guacamole

Cook tomatillos for 15 minutes in hot water then chill in ice. In a blender, liquify tomatillos, peppers, lime juice, cilantro and salt. Taste and correct flavors. Scoop avocado out and put in blender. Blend til smooth.

    What does shucked tomatillos mean in your salsa de guacamole recipe mean? Is it just a whole tomatillo, what is is????

    Hi Niecey! Tomatillos have a husk on them, so it just means to remove the husk. Yes, use the whole tomatillo without the husk skin. :)
