Shimeji Mushrooms on Toast Recipe

Shimeji Mushrooms on Toast

  • Shimeji mushrooms (also known as the Brown Beech mushrooms)

  • 1 clove garlic, chopped

  • Some olive oil

  • Salt & pepper

  • A dollop of sour cream

  • 1 slice of toast

How to make Shimeji Mushrooms on Toast

  1. The mushrooms grow together in one massive orgy of stalks and roots which kinda resemble a tiny planet so separate each one of them by chopping the stalks. Goodbye shroom planet!

  2. Wash them mushrooms to get rid of all the soil and dirt.

  3. Put some olive oil in the pan and throw in the chopped garlic.

  4. Once the garlic's all fragrant and browned, dump the lot of shrooms in and saute til it's cooked!

  5. Season with salt and lots of pepper~

  6. Place cooked mushrooms onto toast

(If you're going to serve it later, refrigerate the mushrooms before serving or your toast will get soggy!)

  7. Add a dollop of sour cream on top and eat!

  8. Btw this tastes awesome on bruschetta as well ;D
