Roast Pork with Orange


Serving: 6
  • 40 g butter
  • 350 ml orange juice, strained
  • 1 tsp grated orange rind
  • 1 garlic clove
  • pinch of chilli powder
  • pinch of dried oregano
  • 1 kg loin of pork, boned
  • salt and pepper

How to make Roast Pork with Orange

Utensils: Roasting tin, small saucepan
  • Preheat the oven to 180 c
  • Melt the butter in a pan, add orange juice, grated orange rind, garlic, chilli powder and oregano, season with salt and pepper and mix well
  • Rub the meat with salt and pepper and place in a roasting tin
  • Pour in the mixture and roast, basting frequently for about 1 hour or until the meat is cooked
  • Carve and serve with the cooking juices
ps 1. If you want to reduce the amount, reduce the meat not the sauce 2. I roast it for only 40 - 45 minutes because I like the meat to be juicy
