Cinnamon Roll



* 1 cup of water (80°F) * 1 egg * 1/4 cup of butter, softened * 3 1/2 cups of all purpose flour * 1 tsp salt * 1/3 cup sugar * 1 1/2 tsp quick active dry yeast


* 1 cup of brown sugar * 2 tbsp of ground cinnamon

How to make Cinnamon Roll

  1. Measure all dough ingredients carefully, and mix everything together. Place the dough in a warm place for an hour or until the dough is doubled.
  2. Roll the dough flat and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on the dough.
  3. Roll up the dough and cut it into pieces.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.

    Hi.It looks great: I've to try to make it asap!! :) I've one question: when you say we've to roll up and cut into pieces, approximately how big are these pieces? I mean, I suppose when you put this in the oven it will get a bit bigger with the yeast so I assume these pieces of the roll must be as thin as possible, isn't it? (about 2cm or so??) Thanks

    I used to eat cinnamon rolls when i was in sweden too. They called it kanelbulle.

    @ azrak: once you put the rolls in the oven it doesn't rise any further. I'd say cut them more on the order of 3 or 3.5 cm (with the experience I've had making cinnamon rolls). Hope that helps!
